After many years of experience in advertising and visual design, I am transitioning to UX design as a 2nd year student in the UW masters program for Human Centered Design. I am passionate about the positive difference design can makes in our lives and the role that UX plays in this. My experience with the principles of translating customer needs into simple and clean visual design translates directly to my newer skills in Design Research, Prototyping and User testing.
Recently, I’ve worked on UX/UI projects for In-Depth Genomics, Seattle AIGA Changemakers, and currently iRespond. My prior history includes art direction, brand standards and visual design–within agencies, in-house departments and as an independent designer–for companies like Nordstrom, Redfin, Brooks and Hotwire.
